Dear sir:
Oct. 21-27 is Canadian Foster Family Week. This week is dedicated to honouring the difficult, yet rewarding job done by foster families in Rainy River District.
Foster families are essential to the work that takes place at Family and Children’s Services. Without the constant care and commitment these families provide, we would not be able to offer the protection some children in our district desperately need.
These families are meeting a need that is greater than ever before.
Foster parenting requires a great deal of commitment, compassion, and energy. It is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs a family can undertake.
I would like to thank the dedicated foster parents and their families who give of themselves and their time to share what they have with children in need.
These individuals are special and valued people who deserve recognition and thanks for the job they do.
Family and Children Services of the District of Rainy River commends our foster families and recognizes the invaluable role they play in providing services to the children in our community.
Sincerely,
Christa Werenko
