In praise of Nault

Dear editor:
It is my firm belief that Bob Nault has done an excellent job representing the interest of his constituents in Northwestern Ontario.
In troubled times, the leadership of Mr. Nault and the Liberal party has positioned our country in the top economic position among the wealthiest countries in the world. I believe it is time to thank our politicians for their hard work and a job well done.
In a thankless job such as Mr. Nault’s, he probably receives many calls and letters that are laden with complaints and special circumstances. There is none of that here.
I wanted to write you a letter to pass on some praise, to thank you, Mr. Nault, and to let you know that you do make a difference in your constituent’s lives in a positive way.
About 11 months ago, Mr. Nault arranged a small business seminar at the Kenora Legion. He had many speakers from various departments in the federal government conduct brief, but specific, presentations on doing business with the different offices within the government itself.
His information, presentations, and speeches struck a chord with me and I began researching the areas of services that were discussed. As a result of this seminar, I launched a consulting and training company that helps businesses in Northwestern Ontario to purchase from all levels of government.
We launched our Web site (www.tenderlisting.com) after seven months of research, development, and programming, and I am pleased to report that every municipality we have shown our online tender notification service to has opted to participate whole-heartedly.
Government offices submit their tenders online, we then forward the tender notifications to qualifying businesses by e-mail.
Our service lists tenders for the Kenora-Rainy River riding. Participating government offices receive more responses to their tenders and participating businesses now have the opportunity to sell their products and services region-wide.
Without Mr. Nault’s help by holding this seminar and excellent information given by him and other presenters, none of this would have happened. I’ll be joining the Liberal party this week!
Thanks, Bob. You truly made a difference for me and for connecting businesses to government.

Sincerely,
Lyle Kirchner
