How ignorant

Tami LeBlanc

Dear editor:
I am writing this letter in response to Mr. Michael J. Meunier’s letter to the editor, headlined “Distraction,” in last Wednesday’s Times.
I am absolutely disgusted that someone would even take time out of their day to write such a sickening letter.
This memorial cross set up is for all of us in Rainy River District who were so deeply affected by the school bus tragedy that happened that December day.
Let me ask you something? Are you also distracted by all of the business signs along the highway advertising their deals of the week or their business, or should they also be removed?
If something such as this memorial cross is such a distraction, take the time to pull off to the side of the road to have a look and then continue on your way.
This memorial cross is just a small token that we can offer to remember our friend, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin who was so special to so many people.
I would hope that you have, deep down, regretted writing this letter and now take the time to write another one and apologize to all of the parents, grandparents, families, and friends of the people affected by this day.
Thank you for allowing me the space in your paper.
(Signed),
Tami LeBlanc
