Dear sir:
On the weekend of Jan. 15, my hockey team ventured west to Fort Frances from Thunder Bay to participate in an Emo tournament. The weather was cold, but the treatment we received was most certainly not.
On Saturday, we lunched at Kettle’s Restaurant. Despite our behaviour (which can only be blamed on a late Friday night), we were welcomed and pleasantly served.
In addition, several patrons who were brave enough to share the room with us were quick to inquire as to the nature of our visit and to wish us luck on the ice.
Just as gracious was the staff at the Super 8. Courteous and alert, they made the check-in and out effortless—and kept the towels flowing in the pool area.
And a final thank you to the unsuspecting employees at the A&W who were our last stop on the way out of town. In dealing with our attitudes (which can only be blamed on a late Saturday night), they laughed with us and sent us on our way.
So thanks a ton, Fort Frances, for your hospitality. It was much appreciated and we will see you next year!
(Signed),
Mark McLeod
