Dear editor:
I am writing this letter to encourage parents to take their children to the Fort Frances Museum to see all the medals, uniforms, and hand-crafted items made by local soldiers who served in WWI and WWII while waiting in the trenches.
Most touching are the stories that the families have brought in to share.
Our museum is making history come alive in a very personal way.
We sent our young men away to protect us and our freedoms. Many gave their lives.
Perhaps the best way we can honour their gift is to ensure we know their individual stories and share them with our young people.
Sincerely,
Sallee Dick
