On May 7-8, Kitchen Creek Golf Club participated in the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s Home and Leisure Show by providing staffing and some support at the “Hole-in-One Drive Away Putting Competition.”
Throughout, the results of many hours of dedicated effort from Dawn Booth, the Chamber of Commerce organizing committee, and the Chamber volunteers were plainly evident.
We were very impressed with the other participants of this activity: K-Sports Kia/Borderland Esso (Dave Goodman), West End Motors (Rod Newman), and Badiuk Equipment (Jim and Pete Badiuk). They put together three really exciting prize packages.
Also important were D & A Construction (constructing the platform), Revco Carpet (applying the putting surface), and Darryl’s Landscaping and Lowey’s Greenhouse (decorations).
We heard nothing but praise about the many exhibitors, as well as for the Memorial Sports Centre lobby area, ice surface, and tent facility on the back lot.
It was a pleasure to be associated with such a professionally-run event. Events such as these are such a tremendous benefit to the town.
We really enjoyed being part of the show, and hope that the people who came had a memorable time.
