Dear editor:
They say small towns are filled with rumours and small talk, and stories spread like wildfire, especially in Fort Frances.
Well, I’ve never appreciated this more than on Friday, March 3 when my eight-year-old son, Kevin, failed to return home after school. By 5 p.m., I had called the police. By 5:30, friends, neighbours, and co-workers had all set out looking for him.
He eventually was found at 6:30 p.m. He came home after going to a friend’s (the only friend I could not contact). But people that we hadn’t even told were looking for him because the news travelled so fast.
I would like to thank everyone (friends, neighbours, and co-workers alike) for coming together when I needed them most.
Thank you again,
Paula & Barry Jackson
