Heartfelt thanks

Dear Mr. Editor:
On behalf of the members and staff of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s STEP Centre program, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to our winning first place in the 50th-annual Christmas parade.
We had a phenomenal float committee who worked for several weeks designing and building the snowmen and set for our float while keeping with the theme of “Christmas Thru the Decades.” Then they braved the cold wind on Saturday from 8 a.m. until parade time to put it all together.
It was well worth it.
We would like to thank Dave Taylor and Dan MacDonald of Taylor International Trucking. Dave provided the great trailer for us and made it possible to have the kind of float that we wanted.
Dan did a great job of driving for us, and offered encouragement and support through the cold, cold wind.
We would like to thank the judges for recognizing the work, effort, and spirit that went into the creation of our float and awarding us with first prize.
Finally, to the community for braving the weather and coming out to the parade to cheer on all of the participants. Each and every entry was great and deserving of winning.
