This letter is a response to the article, “Churches slowly blessing same-sex unions,” in the Aug. 15 edition of the Fort Frances Times.
It might be true that Knox United Church accepts homosexuality, but other churches do not agree with its decision.
The Bible tells us clearly that God is opposed to homosexuality. In 1. Corinthians 6:9-10, we read: “Do you not know . . . neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulters, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites . . . will inherit the kingdom of God?”
God loves everyone, but He hates sin. Therefore, Jesus died for us; and when we believe in Him, we have forgivness and eternal life.
