Capt. Marlene Sandoval
I wish to extended my sincere gratitude to all who donated recent gifts to the Salvation Army’s Fort Frances Ministries. I am truly excited to welcome everyone to our “family” because I know that together we will transform lives and create a community that hopes.
You see, a “Harvest of Hope” doesn’t just happen. It starts with someone whose heart is moved with compassion for the need of others. And that some one is you!
I know this because you already have demonstrated your heartfelt caring through your generous gift to our ministry in Rainy River District.
And that’s what our “Harvest of Hope” campaign is all about. It’s good friends like you, linking your heart and hands with the Salvation Army’s Fort Frances Ministries to do good in our community and district.
In a couple weeks, we look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with our families and enjoy a wonderful feast of turkey and pumpkin pie. Yet there are some families in our district that won’t celebrate Thanksgiving because they can’t afford to buy a turkey and all the fixings that go with it.
We need the support of the community in order to help these families in need. We want to give everyone a chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families and enjoy the same feast that many of us take for granted.
Together we can accomplish so much! Caring for the elderly . . . offering emergency and disaster relief . . . helping young people . . . giving shelter to the homeless . . . assisting families in need . . . feeding the hungry with a decent meal in Thanksgiving celebration.
In a very real way, our partnership—you and the Salvation Army’s Fort Frances Ministries—helps bond our community and district together by offering a hand up to those who suffer, who are alone, who have lost their way in life.
Through the Thanksgiving celebration, we are asking for your support of our “Harvest of Hope” campaign so that we can continue meeting the demand of so many who need help.
Would you sent a gift of $25, $50, $100, or whatever is right for you? Or make a short visit to our ministry, where we will be glad to see you with your gift to the less fortunate.
Remember, our mailing address is 316 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2C2.
You are the heart of our “Harvest of Hope” and we are so grateful for your support.
Committed to the Lord,
Capt. Marlene Sandoval
P.S. Because of your caring heart, the Salvation Army’s Fort Frances Ministries is able to be your “hands and feet” to bring comfort and hope to those in distress. On their behalf, thank you.
