A big thank you to the organizers of the hockey tournament for Novice- and Atom-aged girls last weekend (Feb. 5-7) in Fort Frances.
My daughter had a blast from not just playing hockey but also the extras like the Sock Hop, which was fantastic.
Our team (the Thunder Bay Bears) may not have played their best until the final game, but they all had fun and the medals for third place will mean a lot to them for a long time.
The game MVP bags were a great idea and she’ll use hers until it falls apart.
It was unfortunate that more teams couldn’t come due to a shortage of hotel rooms.
