I would like to congratulate Charlie Turgeon and Abitibi-Consolidated on the fine job they did with the fire extinguisher course.
This four-hour, hands-on information session was offered free of charge to the community. The materials and training area were provided by Abitibi, and Charlie Turgeon volunteered his expertise and time.
Most of us have fire extinguishers at home, or at our workplace, but never get the chance to try them out before an emergency occurs. We had the opportunity to do that and it was a lot different than I thought it would be!
So if you want to take advantage of a really good thing, watch for the ads next year.
