Just wanted to say a big “thank you” to the management and crew at our Public Works department for doing such a wonderful job keeping our streets clear of snow and removing the “huge’ snowbanks this winter.
It can be a daunting task what with the frequency and amount of snow we have gotten.
As people who are out early every morning (between 2 and 4 a.m.), and putting in 14-hour days after a snowfall, we have an understanding of the work involved keeping up with the amount of precipitation we have had so far this winter—and we don’t have nearly the areas to cover as our town crew does.
Although some fellow citizens have expressed their concerns regarding the “snow issue” here in town, I do hope they are taking into consideration the vast area that must be cleared and that the town crews are out doing their level best to keep up with it.
We believe they have been taking down the snowbanks as quickly and as best as can be expected, all things considered.
Again, thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
