Great growth

To the editor:
I have been in Fort Frances for about at long as Bill Maki has been away and I have seen many changes, starting in the west end where I live.
MacDonald Motors, Sunset Ford, Canadian Tire, all the fast food outlets, Robin’s Donuts, Red Dog Inn, West End Motors, Rainy Lake Plaza, Sunset Shell, and Mohawk are all new or recently remodelled.
Also, there’s a new high school, college, and the Townshend Theatre.
A good length of the highway is much improved, the old railway station made into the local volunteer centre and beehive of activities, a much-enlarged Safeway store, and a mural on the west side of the CIBC here.
There’s the new Lion’s Park, with its Memory Lane and beautiful water fountain, as well as a new arena that is second-to-none.
Please, Bill, come back soon and get outdoors while here and see the changes. And come in the summer so you can enjoy the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
Signed,
George Bartlett
