Grateful

Dear editor:
I am a visitor to Fort Frances from England.
My girlfriend, who is from the town, and I are volunteer English teachers and set to leave to teach in Georgia in Europe.
Very annoyingly, my girlfriend’s laptop computer sadly crashed last week and given the short timeframe, we were unable to take it to Thunder Bay or Dryden before we leave!
I called a Fort Frances local named Ken Hawrylak from “Digital Dr.” in Fort Frances, who offered great advice. As it turned out, I managed to download a copy of the software needed online but didn’t have any special writeable DVDs to put it onto!
Ken, in typical Fort Frances fashion, told me to stop by his office on Fourth Street West. And when I did, he gave me the discs free of charge and refused to accept any money from a travelling volunteer!
I just wanted to express my gratitude to Ken and the Fort Frances folk who have been nothing but very friendly, indeed, during my month in your town.
