Good work

Dear editor:
On Feb. 21, I was taking pictures as part of a presentation to parents concerning the possible amalgamation of four of our elementary schools. My journey took me to the Sixth Street School, and I stood on Sixth Street taking photos of the school building.
After taking a few shots of the actual building, I noticed kids using the playground equipment and I took a couple of shots of the young people.
Within 30 seconds, an OPP car was at my side and the officer engaged me in an informal friendly conservation inquiring “what was I doing?” He said he had watched me taking photos of the building but when my camera focused on the kids, that’s when he wanted answers.
I would like to congratulate Cst. Mike Golding of the OPP on his attention to this situation and the immediacy of his action. It must be comforting and assuring to parents and citizens alike that OPP officers like Mike are on the job and paying very close attention to possibly suspicious situations.
Nice going, Mike, and keep up the good work!
Signed,
