Dear sir:
Last evening (Feb. 28), I attended the “Fort Frances High School to Germany” concert at the Townshend Theatre.
While I played in a band during high school, and sang in several choirs since, I lay no claim to being a music critic. Despite that, what I heard was an excellent presentation by first the band and then the entire band switched to singing as a choir.
The selection of music was appropriate.
Music teacher and band master John Dutton has done a fine job in melding and welding students into a well-performing group. They will do Fort Frances and district proud on their concert trip to Germany and Austria during the March Break.
Best of luck and a safe journey for all of them, including the chaperones.
