Don’t give up

Dear editor:
I hope the committee that was formed hasn’t given up on the idea of looking into the possibilities on separation just because southern Ontario threw us a few tidbits.
What happens the next time they want to ignore us. Start this process all over again?
We have a good committee formed to look into the possibilities, with quite a few mayors on board. But I see Kenora’s mayor already backtracking on TV, saying, “Oh, we didn’t really want to separate.”
He was supposed to be one of our leaders heading up the committee. Just shows how fast we can switch when the master throws a few scraps. . . .
I think they still should look at all the possibilities and see what is best for Northwestern Ontario, then bring everything to the people of Northwestern Ontario and then let us decide. Then it would be settled once and for all.
Thank you,
Bill Costello
