Dear editor:
Every year, the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau organizes the annual Terry Fox Run. This year it is slated for Sunday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. starting at the bureau (rain or shine).
Pledge sheets are available at Good Impressions Printing and the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau on Monday to Friday from 9-3 p.m., and around town where posters have been pinned up.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
This year, though, the Terry Fox Foundation has a new twist. They are launching a Terry Fox Work Day on Sept. 14 in your workplace. You must register with the foundation—and it only can be fundraising events within your confined workplace.
The contact person would be Janice Elcombe (1-888-836-9786 ext. 225) for further information. It gives people the opportunity to participate who otherwise could not.
Last year, the community of Fort Frances raised $12,000 towards cancer research for Terry Fox. Can we do it again? Yes!
If you would like to volunteer on the committee or at the work site, give the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau a call at 274-9555.
Yours,
Debbie Bazylewski
