Don Cooper passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay, Ont. on June 27, 1998 at the age of 85.
Born in Manitoba, the family moved to Fort Frances, Ont. where he received his education.
In 1940, he married Sarah Jean Dick and they moved to Fort William. He worked at Can Car and Great Lakes Paper for 30 years.
He was very active with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
Don is survived by his wife, Jean, of 58 years; son, Jim (Helen); daughter Adeline (Rick) Harmer; and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are his brother, Harry (Muriel) of Fort Frances; and sister, Margaret (Keith) Smart.
He was predeceased by a brother, Tom; and son, Tom.
Memorial service was held in Thunder Bay on July 6, 1998.
