Disgusting abuse

Ken Boshcoff

Dear editor:
Many people have commented to me about the excessive amount of advertising the prime minister is doing telling us what a wonderful job his government is performing.
People can see through the fact the PM is just trying to convince us—with our own money—that we never had it so good.
Do we really need to spend on such boasting? In Ontario, there are rules preventing the taking of such advantages and these such be adopted federally.
This is a disgusting abuse of tax dollars for purely partisan reasons. Conservatives themselves are embarrassed by this gross crossing of the line in using public funds for partisan ads.
Could not that $75 million be used for ’flu vaccines, or on economic or infrastructure projects, or the forestry industries?
A recent report confirmed the prime minister was spending five times more money promoting his lame economic plan than addressing H1N1 awareness—all with the support of the NDP!
It only confirms that Mr. Harper is more interested in keeping himself in power at our expense!
Respectfully submitted,
