Coverage lacking

Dear editor:
This letter is to congratulate your journalist staff. I say “staff” because it evidently took your whole staff to write a very short piece on Warp 9 and 92.3 The Wolf and their Hallowe’en for kids.
It must take real talent to turn a completely virtuous act and make it sound like a personal vendetta.
In Monday’s Daily Bulletin (Nov. 1), there was a picture of children at the “Spooky Trailer” in the McDonald’s parking lot (the cutline said 800 or more children attended).
And on page 6 was a picture from the Fort Frances Museum, where roughly 200 kids attended the annual “Hallowe’en Haunt.”
Where was Warp 9’s/“The Wolf’s” picture and their numbers in Monday’s Daily Bulletin?
To fix this after complaints, an honest newspaper would write a retraction. Instead, you hid Warp 9’s story in five short sentences in Wednesday’s Times. No one from “The Wolf” was ever mentioned or interviewed.
If your staff felt like attacking someone, they shouldn’t have neglected the facts.
The BIA cancelled “Scott Street Scare” because it landed on a Sunday. Warp 9, when it heard of this, felt the kids needed a safe place and shouldn’t be punished. 92.3 “The Wolf” then also became involved.
Neither business had no intention of replacing the “Scott Street Scare,” and asked numerous times for businesses support. But only a handful from the 65 BIA businesses contributed.
There’s your story, not trying to portray a good man as spiteful or vengeful. Not telling half of the story.
A good journalist is thorough and a really good journalist is unbiased, and one worth reading has the courage to put their name on their article.
