Congratulations

Dear sir:
We would like to congratulate La Vallee centennial committee members Maxine Hayes, Joyce Witherspoon, Freeda Carmody, Sheri Stamarski, Liz Donaldson, and Ken McKinnon for the fantastic job they did with the centennial celebrations.
The amount of work that went into this project was phenomenal!
Thanks also to their spouses and families, some of whom I’m sure had a hand in some of it and/or may not have seen much of them during the last year or more of preparation.
Reeve Emily Watson, council members, and municipal employees also deserve our thanks for taking on the extra workload during these past few weeks.
A special thank you goes to the volunteers who gave up their free time so that others could enjoy the celebration.
The Allan/Heward families would like to thank everyone who attended the supper on the Friday evening. A total of $1,447 was raised to go towards new gates at the Devlin Cemetery.
Thank you to Dev-Lynne’s store for donating the dessert. Door prize winners were Felecia Morrison, Jacob Hyatt, Darlene Hamilton, and Dorothy Haines.
Congratulations to everyone who attended or participated in the centennial celebrations in any way. We certainly have a community we can be proud of.
