Dear editor:
After reading many articles on the proposed skateboard park and seeing the addition to J.W. Walker School, I have some questions and concerns.
First, I have some concerns over the liability and policing surrounding the skateboard park project. The cost of the project is $300,000. One liability suit could cost three times that!
Will our taxes be affected to endure the cost of such a lawsuit?
Second, the structure of the school appears quite extravagant, with porcupine-looking sticks coming out of the footings and a roof which must cost a fortune.
Was the idea of putting so many children in one school to save tax dollars? Couldn’t we have done without the frills?
A concerned taxpayer
