Dear editor:
We just would like to say a very sincere thank you to everyone in the community who helped to make the 2012 Fort Frances High School Greece trip a success!
Twenty students had the opportunity of a lifetime to spend a week soaking up art, history, culture, and education at its best thanks to two years of planning and effort from the school and community at large.
We specifically would like to thank Lowey’s Greenhouse, Einar’s Foods, and M&M Meats Shop for supporting our students through voucher sales fundraising. Your generosity made this trip a reality for many of our students.
We also would like to thank the parents of our travellers. Without your support and guidance, the trip would not have gone forward. We truly appreciate all your efforts!
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank the staff and administration of Fort Frances High School and the Rainy River District School Board. Your efforts to help ensure a successful trip, through paperwork, guidance, and planning with the trip in mind, meant students were able to experience something amazing.
A trip like this is truly a community effort. We could not have gone without each person’s contributions. From the hours of planning on the part of staff to the purchase of a voucher or garage sale item by a caring community member, each act moved us one step closer to making the trip a reality.
Once again, thank you to all of you who supported the Greece trip. We could not have done it without you.
Please know you are appreciated!
Sincerely,
Tracy Rob, Travis Rob
and Owen Johnston
on behalf of the
Greece trip students
