Big loss

Dear Mike:
When I heard that Todd Hamilton was not elected in Monday’s municipal election, I was absolutely shocked. The people who did not vote for Todd surely were swayed by all the inane rhetoric which Mr. Bedard and others had expounded during the campaign.
Had they and others allowed Todd and his fellow councillors to do their job, particularly with regard to our health care, maybe we would have had our health care system in place as does Kenora and Dryden.
Instead, the whole process was stalled—and look at the mess we are in now.
What a shame. Here we had a young, very intelligent, hard-working businessman who was willing to give up much of his precious family time in order to try and better our town, and because of the poison pen of Mr. Bedard and others, we have lost a very valuable member of council.
Too bad!!
