Basketball anyone?

Dear editor:
Once upon a time, there was a Canadian fellow named Dr. James Naismith. Back in the late 1800’s, he came up with a simple game that is still quite popular today. It’s played in high schools and universities all across Canada. Also, it’s been an Olympic event since 1936. Did I mention that there are professional leagues for both men and women? The pay isn’t bad either.
So if there’s a little left over after the $300,000.00 “large concrete bowl” is finished, perhaps Fort Frances could build its first quality public basketball court.
I shudder to think what would have happened if Steve Nash happened upon a skate park before he discovered his first basketball court.
