Awesome concert

Dear sir:
I would like to say how much I appreciated the concert performed last Thursday night at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo.
I had heard that the Dordt College Choir was very good, but what we heard that night was—as the young people like to say—“awesome.”
This choir is composed of 53 young voices, and anyone who missed hearing them last week missed a first-class show. The program was as far reaching as any young persons’ choir I have ever heard could possibly be.
It ran the gamut of a beautiful Australian aboriginal chant to finishing off with a resounding Dordt College alma mater song in which the local grads of Dordt College participated.
In between were hymns, liturgical pieces (both ancient and modern, sung in the most impeccable Latin), followed by such contemporary pieces as “My Grandfather’s Clock” by the men and Wade Hemsworths’ “The Log Drivers’ Waltz” by the ladies.
All in all, a most delightful two hours of beautifully-presented music.
The CRC in Emo should be congratulated for arranging the visit by these young people and if they should happen by next year, I hope you don’t miss them.
