Dear editor:
I am writing about medical marijuana use by those who are trying to overcome the side effects of chemo.
Anybody who knows anything about cancer realizes the side effects that chemo brings on—weight loss, loss of appetite, mouth sores, nausea, vomitting, and night sweats.
This is where medical marijuana comes in to help counteract the nausea, loss of appetite, and the other side effects.
The Charter of Rights and Freedom states “That any disadvantaged individual with a physical disability should not be discriminated against.” I am sure cancer would qualify.
The rights of my grandson and his wife have been violated by the police and their dog, going through their personal belongings, when there was really nothing there to substantiate this. Which brings the administration of justice into disrepute.
The police have lost their compassion. Just make an arrest if you can on the smallest charge.
Where did you get such false information?
Character is what we are; reputation is what others make us out to be. What about the truth?
This whole situation is asinine. Beware, it could happen to you!
From a concerned mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbour, and friend.
Signed,
Betty Kuitunen
