Appalling

Dear editor:
This past Remembrance Day weekend, as we honoured those who fulfilled the purpose of government to defend and protect, the situation in Barwick was especially appalling.
The people in this area know Paul Peters, the cleanliness of Sunrise Meat, and the sense of peace that is always there, and find it a good place to trade.
In this day when every level of our government desperately needs all the respect and stability they can get, this has been particularly grievous.
We create ministries, wheat boards, and trade unions to protect us from exploitation, and we end up trapped and ensnared by them.
But we saw last weekend that we have neighbours with good character and creative minds, and we look forward to see what comes of all this!

Jean Clink
