Dear editor:
Our area has had three fatalities this month due to poor road conditions.
On our return trip from Thunder Bay last Tuesday (Dec. 17), my husband and I came upon one of these accidents.
The road conditions deteriorated significantly once we entered Rainy River District. I have travelled these highways my entire adult life and have not experienced such poor road conditions, both this year and last.
After witnessing the effects of that accident, I felt compelled to send an e-mail, with pictures of the road conditions that day, to the MTO.
I am writing this letter to appeal to all of your readers, who feel the same way as I do, to send an e-mail or letter to Mr. Ian Smith, Regional Director, Northwestern MTO, at ian.smith@ontario.ca to voice their concerns.
