Dear editor:
The Rainycrest Auxiliary would like to say thanks so very much to Craig Sanders and his staff at the 364 Store for supporting our Nevada fundraising project, from his store’s opening in 1990 to its closing at the end of March, 2010—20 amazing years!
The total fundraising dollars realized for the benefit of Rainycrest residents during this time was $528,252.87!
The very first capital purchase was a 1993 Dodge van with wheelchair lift for $25,000. The auxiliary purchased another van the following year.
Some of the other items were an air exchange system and a new roof, which improved everyone’s life.
We have purchased drapes, 145 bedside tables and dressers, bathing systems with lifts, necessary kitchen equipment, blanket warmers, electric beds, and mattresses . . . the list goes on and on.
The auxiliary and the residents of Rainycrest are so grateful to Craig, his staff, and to Patricia Crewson, who was the “mastermind” and lottery director all these years.
We thank the community for their past support, and trust they will continue to support his worthwhile project for the residents of Rainycrest Long-Term Care.
The new location for our Nevada pull tabs will be announced in the very near future.
Signed,
Margaret Ann Hudson
on behalf of the
Rainycrest Auxiliary
