Dear Mike:
On behalf of Riverside Foundation for Health Care and the “Just Imagine” campaign, we would like to congratulate and thank Bill Michl for his outstanding contribution to the campaign.
Bill ran 60 miles from Rainy River to Fort Frances back on Oct. 20 to officially kick-off the “Just Imagine” campaign.
He did it with a strong focus, as well as the support and encouragement of many people across the district that gave waves, hugs, and honks, and joined him to run along the way.
It was an amazing feat and deserving of many accolades! We are fortunate to have people in Rainy River District who go above and beyond to support causes and make a difference in the lives of others.
Thanks also to the members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #54 (Rainy River), Br. # 99 (Emo), and Br. #29 (Fort Frances) for hosting community receptions and donating the food and refreshments.
Thanks to Riverside Ambulance Services for providing an ambulance escort the entire distance, and also the two paramedics who got out and ran with Bill the last leg of his run.
Bill has motivated us to reach our goal of raising $1.5 million for the purchase of a CT scanner for Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. for the benefit of all district residents.
This much-needed technology not only will save time and money, it will save lives in urgent situations where every second counts.
Thanks to all the campaign volunteers across the district who are working extremely hard to make this project a reality. Thank you to all the individuals and organizations that already have made donations and pledges to support this campaign.
The kindness and generosity shown throughout Rainy River District is an inspiration.
Pledge cards and return envelopes will be delivered to each mailbox in the district next week and we hope you will consider making a three-, four-, or five-year pledge to the “Just Imagine” campaign.
Every dollar makes a difference!
Sincerely,
Deane Cunningham,
Larry Cousineau,
and Teresa Hazel
