Amazing families

Dear editor:
Oct. 15-21 is Foster Family Appreciation Week. This is our opportunity to celebrate and show gratitude to our foster families across Kenora-Rainy River District.
What amazing families they are; that offer love and kindness to the many children and their families. They welcome and accept with compassion and integrity, and give the children and their families support during some very difficult times.
Foster parents and caregivers are essential and without the constant care and commitment they provide, we would not be able to offer a place of safety that some children in our district desperately need.
Foster parenting can be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs a family can undertake. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated foster parents and their families that give of themselves and their time with our children and youth.
These individuals and families deserve recognition and great thanks for the work that they do.
Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services commends all of our caregivers and recognizes the invaluable role they play in providing services to the children in our communities.
