Amazing dedication

Dear editor:
As a summer student at Hydro One, I had the opportunity to witness the damage caused by the recent severe weather. I was truly amazed at the dedication and tireless effort of the Hydro One crews.
Hydro One employees from our own area as well as Thunder Bay, North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Ear Falls, Dryden, Kenora, Geraldton, Marathon, and Nipigon, as well as employees from the City of Thunder Bay and the Town of Atikokan, came to our aid.
All of the men worked very long hours under some difficult and dangerous circumstances. These men also worked as fast and as safely as possible to restore power to customers affected throughout this vast area.
Being without power is more than just an inconvenience, but one must remember this was a crisis situation. The employees were working under some circumstances they had never been in before, and they managed to safely restore the power.
Thank you to all the Hydro One employees as well as the others who assisted them. I have a new-found respect for these men and their efforts.
And thank you also to all of the customers for their patience and understanding during this crisis situation.
Respectfully,
Kaily McTavish
