This letter is to send a special thank you to our local fire and police departments who went above and beyond.
At about 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 27, we received a phone call to inform us that our store (Kitchen & Bath Plus) was on fire and that the fire department and police were on site.
Upon arrival, we noticed a large contingent of firefighters attacking the blaze.
A representative from the fire department and police department immediately came to us and expressed their sympathies and concerns for everyone’s safety.
It was impressive to see the firemen doing what they do. I asked them, if possible, to save at least the corner office as it was the place where we kept the safe and main computer.
After returning home, several hours later we received a phone call from the police on the site and said they were going to drop something off for us. They arrived at about 4:30 a.m. with my safe, main computer, and laptop.
A very special thanks to Rob Dokuchie from the fire department and Jay Sobkowicz from the OPP.
We also would like to thank all the people throughout the district for the cards, phone calls, and in-person visits expressing their heartfelt concerns.
