On behalf of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Rainy River District for your overwhelming support in our March door-to-door canvass.
Besides our loyal donors from Fort Frances, Couchiching, and Alberton, we also received donations from Emo, Blackhawk, and Sleeman this year.
Due to our generous contributions, we have raised $10,807. This is the best-ever, and will allow the Kidney Foundation to meet its commitment to medical research.
It also will guarantee the ability to continue programs, in patients’ service, organ donor awareness, and public education.
We gratefully acknowledge the major role played by the zone captains and canvassers who volunteered their time so willingly, the individuals who welcomed them to their door and gave so generously, and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 and the local Legion Ladies Auxiliary for their contributions.
Thank you, again, for your support, which is more important than ever as the number of Canadians with kidney disease is growing every day.
