Yoga will start up in two locations starting soon. Carol Hyatt will be instructing yoga at the Emo Legion starting Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 9 a.m. This is a ten week session and the cost is $50.
Carol Hyatt will also be instructing yoga for the The LaVallee Seniors Club beginning Oct. 1, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Devlin Hall. This also is a 10 week session costing $50.
The LOTW Recreation committee will host its second annual Bergland Giant Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Bergland Hall. The hall is located at 7705 B, Hwy. 600. Celebrate the colours of fall with friends, family and fun from 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendor market, farmers market, canteen, baby animals and more. There are several categories to enter pumpkins. Registration for pumpkin categories is from 10 a.m. to noon. The judging and weighing begins at 1 p.m. For more information contact LOTW Recreation.
The next cornhole tournament at the Emo Legion is Oct. 9. To register contact the Legion. The next Beer and Burger is Oct. 2. Last week’s lucky winners of the meat draw were Sheila Carmody and Marcus Clarida.
Bingo will be played at the Emo Legion on Oct. 20. As always, cribbage takes place at the Legion Wednesday nights starting at 7 p.m. this is open to all ages. Seniors carpet bowling is played every Thursday starting at 9 a.m.
The next LaVallee Seniors coffee gathering is Oct. 6, from 1-3 p.m. Come out for an afternoon of socializing, coffee, tea and homemade baking.
There will be a bingo at the Dance Hall on Thursday, Oct. 1.
