The newly renovated Dance Community Hall will host its grand opening on August 24, 2025. To celebrate this occasion there will be a walleye fish fry. The meal is available from 4 – 6:30 p.m. with takeouts available. Advance tickets are available at Cloverleaf Grocers, Devlin’s Store and General Supply. Adults pay $25, youth 5-12 years $12 and kids 5 and under eat free.
The Fugitives Dance Band will perform at the Emo Legion, Branch #99 on Saturday, September 13, from 7 – 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Legion. This group has performed at the Emo Legion previously and were enjoyed by all those attending.
The RR District Fall Fair is just around the corner. This years fair is August 14-16. This is the 125th anniversary of the district fair.
Along with all the popular events, there will be a raffle for a commemorative guilt. The quilt has been made by a local quilter.
Tickets are $5 each and 2,000 are being sold.
A raffle is taking place. Tickets are $20 and give the ticket buyer a chance at 3 prizes:
1. $10,000 for two people to travel anywhere in Canada.
2. $6,250 to enjoy a fishing trip to Manitou weather station.
3. $2,500 Traeger barbecue with a $400 meat package from, Rainy River meats, Sunrise meats and KB ranch.

Congratulations to Alexis Mose and Marcus Bird-Smith on the birth of Scarlett Tracy Elizabeth, she was born July 27, 2025. Proud grandparents are Dave and Tracy Mose, Cheryl Smith, Wayne and Tiffany Smith and Scarlett’s huge extended family.

Congratulations to Jeremiah Stromness and Sabina Janik on their marriage. The couple were wed Saturday, August 2. Proud parents are Julie and Larry Stromness and Stan and Anna Janie. A beautiful wedding was held at Ross’s Camp and enjoyed by all attending.
