The region is gearing up for the holidays with plenty of events

Many, many events are taking place on our rural area. There will be a Country Jam at the Emo Legion on November 18 starting at 7 p.m. Beer and burgers will starts at 5 p.m.

A perfect night, enjoy a tasty meal then dance the night away to live good old time music.

There will also be Beer and burgers December 2 and 16.

Bingo will be played at the Emo Legion every Tuesday until December 13. Cribbage is every Wednesday evening.

This is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I’ve been told the donations are amazing. Definitely something for everyone.

Robin’s 2 cents.

I was in a grocery store, behind me was a mother and young son. Her young boy kept looking around and making ugly faces at me.

After a few minutes I got tired of his antics so I said, “When I was a young child, my mother told me if I made an ugly face it would freeze that way.” The young boy replied, “Well, you can’t say you weren’t warned.”
