The Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society is hosting its “Spring in Hawaii Gala” this Saturday (May 4) at the Emo Arena.
Tickets are $50. Social hour is 5:30 p.m. dinner served at 6:30.
To make the evening more enjoyable there will be a cake roulette, penny table, a silent auction and lots of games and prizes.
All monies raised will help pay for new bathrooms, kitchens and other onground buildings at the Emo fairgrounds.
A reminder that Crossroads will host a chess tournament on Wednesday, May 8.

The Devlin/Emo United Churches are having a walleye fish fry on May 11 (Mother’s Day).
The menu will consist of walleye, homemade fries, baked beans coleslaw and dessert. Dinner will be served 4:30-6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. Adults pay $18, 6-12 yrs. $10, and 5 and under eat free.

The annual “Marzie Days” will be held May 25 at the residence is Barb and Alf Redford (Fire #1213, Hwy. 613).
A hugh amount of plants will be for sale, a food booth, bake sale, and door prizes.
This always proves to be a truly enjoyable day.
