St. Patrick’s Day supper on offer in Emo

There will be a St. Patrick’s Day supper at St. Patrick’s church in Emo on March 17, starting at 5:30 p.m. A roast beef dinner with all the trimmings will be served. Advanced tickets only. Adults are $25, 7-12 years olds for $15 and children 6 and under are free.

This is always a wonderful evening of good food and socializing. Contact Heather at 487-2253 for tickets.

The Emo Food Bank and Thrift Store will hold their annual meeting on March 2 beginning at 7 o’clock. The meeting will take the Christian Reformed Church. Memberships are available at the meeting at $10 or before by contacting Nancy Flook or Charlene McTavish.

The Emo Knox United Church at 2 Roy Street extends a warm welcome to all area churches to attend Lenten Lunches 2026 at Knox United Church in Emo. A short service begins at 12:00 p.m. followed by lunch.

Dates:

  • March 4 with Ralph Fluit
  • March 11 with Larry Robertson
  • March 18 with Gerald Van Smeerdryk
  • March 25 with Diane Martin

Service will convene in the sanctuary of worship, followed by soup and sandwich in the hall at 12:30 p.m. Lunch provided by participating denominations of $5.

The World Day of Prayer is Friday, March 6. St. Patrick’s church in Emo will host this year’s event starting at 1:30 p.m. The theme for this years World Day is “I Will Give You Rest: Come.”

The Township of LaVallee Seniors 55+ and Recreation Committee will host a turkey supper, catered by the Emo Legion at the Emo Legion as the Devlin Hall is under construction. This supper takes place March 7, doors open at 5 p.m. and supper will be served at 6 p.m. The bar will be open. 100 seats available. Call Pat at 276-3042 or Lisa at 276-7555.

There will be Beer and Burger this Friday, February 20, at the Emo Legion, followed by Country Jam starting at 7 p.m.
