The LaVallee Seniors committee are busily preparing senior events to take place in September.
The first to take place is a picnic on September 14, at the Devlin Ball Park. The picnic will start at 2 p.m. with food being served from 4-5 p.m. This picnic is open to all seniors, plus senior’s family members and friends of all ages.
There are horse shoes, corn hole, playground equipment for kids and much more to make for a fun-filled day.
Bring your lawn chair. No dogs please.
The Seniors coffee breaks start up on September 16, from 1-3 p.m. Bring cards or games if you wish. As always home baking will be served along with endless cups of coffee and tea.
Seniors bingo starts up September 18, starting at 1 p.m.
Yoga will resume in October, date to be determined soon.
Coffee gatherings, bingo and yoga all take place at the Devlin Hall.
The Senior’s Committee is hoping to see all familiar faces and hopefully new people will take part in seniors events. All regular senior’s activities are for ages 55 plus.
The annual Naicatchewenin (Northwest Bay) Bass and Walleye Classic takes place September 12 and 13. This is a catch and release tournament. Entry fee is $400 per team. Boats launch at 8 a.m and weigh-ins start at 4 p.m. Call Connie at 807-276-7998 for further information.
The Emo Legion’s Beer and Burger starts up this Friday,September 5. This is a much enjoyed event, with delicious food, and fun for friends and family!
Carpet bowling resumes at the Emo Legion, September 4, and will take place every Thursday following.
Guthrie United Church services resume on Sunday, September 7, at Guthrie United Church in Devlin, followed by Knox United Church in Emo on September 14. Both services start at 10 a.m.
