The LaVallee Senior’s Committee hosted a Coffee Gathering last Tuesday, June 30, at the newly decorated Devlin Hall. Close to 40 people attended. You can bet that a lot of the conversation was about the newly decorated Devlin Hall. The hall has been under renovation since last December. Seniors seemed very impressed with the changes. There will be a grand opening of the hall later in August. Regular bi-weekly coffee gatherings will resume in September along with other senior events.
The Museum located on Tyrell Street in Emo will host a huge garage sale on July 15, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Be sure to take this garage sale in, it promises to have something for everyone.
Sincere sympathy to the family of Candice Kadikoff. Candace was the daughter of Ed Taylor and the late Colleen Taylor. Candace passed at the age of 53 in Cold Lake Alberta. She leaves many to mourn. The district sends prayers and caring thoughts to all those grieving at this sad time.
The Emo fair takes place August 13, 14 and 15 this year. The Rainy River District Fall Fair committee is having a 50/50 draw this year. All proceeds to go towards fairground updates. The draw will take place August 15 at the fair grounds. Tickets are $10 and only 3,000 will be printed. Be sure to pick up several tickets to have a chance of winning and to support this worthy cause.
There are advanced tickets available for the midway. Tickets are $35.00 and are good for one day at the fair. The bearer of this coupon is entitled to free admission and unlimited rides at the midway from noon to midnight. Redeem this coupon at the midway office and redeem your your wrist bracelets.
