The spring of our clocks forward is here! Sunday March 14 at 2 a.m. is the official time to spring ahead an hour with daylight savings time. This is always a sure sign of spring. Most people set their clocks before going to bed Saturday night. Whatever your preference be sure to do this.
Many of the rural churches have started up their church services.
Devlin and Emo United Churches are still providing services on Facebook.
St. Patrick’s church services start at 11a.m.
The Christian Reformed Church services are at 10 a.m. Coffee gathering is not taking place at this time.
The Calvary Baptist Church service is at 9:30 with Sunday school at 11 a.m
Both the Calvary Baptist Church and Christian Reformed Church offer offer streamed services online.
All churches offering in person services are following all requirements to keep safe due to the Covid pandemic.
All churches welcome calls to anyone having questions. All priests, pastors and ministers are keeping our district in their thoughts and prayers, during this trying time.
Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Violet Strom. She enjoyed 98 years of life. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Also belated sympathy to Neil Grant and his family in the passing of Neil’s brother Phillip. Phillip made his home in Winnipeg.
March 19 is a PA DAY for all students in the Rainy River District.
A reminder that the Emo Legion Branch #99 has started up some of their events again. The always favour Beer and Burger for $5 takes place Friday evenings. For more information call the Legion at 482-2250.
