Holly Daze takes place this weekend

The fun filled annual Holly Daze takes place this weekend December 2 and 3.

There are many events happening the parade is at 6 p.m. Friday night, with the annual tree lighting following the parade, fireworks to follow. There will be hot chocolate and cookies served during the parade. The Emo Hospital Auxiliary members will be accepting non-perishable food items at the hot chocolate stand during the parade.

The Hair and Body Care will collect non-perishable items Friday from 9-5 and Saturday from 9-3.

The Emo Legion will host Craft’s Galore on Friday and Saturday. Soup and sandwiches will be available.

Holly Jolly Holiday Sales with over 20 Vendors takes place at the Emo Arena on Saturday from 9-4. Stuff A Cruiser will be taking non/ perishable food items at Cloverleaf Grocers starting at 10a.m. All donations assist our local food bank.

Be sure to sign up for two $250 gift certificates, donated by Chamber of Commerce members. Draws will be made Saturday at 3p.m. at Emo Feeds.

There definitely is something for everyone.

Beer and Burger will start servicing at 4 p.m. Friday night instead of 5:30. This is to allow people to enjoy their meal before the parade.

Sincere sympathy to Marilyn Rittau and her siblings, Phil, Ike , Ray, Lydia, Betty, George and Wes and their families in the passing of their Jake Friesen. Jake raised his family and enjoyed a full filled life for thirty one years in Stratton before moving to Steinbeck for the last twenty four years. The district sends you caring thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Weech-It-Win is once again offering a wonderful family time. Many will remember the Halloween event attended by over 1,000 people.

Now for our Christmas pleasure there will be a “Trail Of Lights”. This will take place December 10. All our welcome to attend, a light lunch and hot chocolate will be served. The event is held at 71 McTavish Rd. from 4-8 p.m.
