The Good Friday Fish Fry is set to go at the Emo Legion April 15.
Tickets are available in the Legion Club Room this Thursday (April 14) or with Char at Tompkins today.
A two fillet dinner is $20 and a one fillet dinner is $10. These dinners are delicious with all the fixings along with walleye. If you are a Branch #99
member you can show your Legion card at the time of purchase and get the two fillet dinner for $18, one meal at that cost per member.
Easter Services will be held St. Patrick’s Church on Holy Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
Good Friday Services at St. Patrick’s church at 11a.m.
Easter Sunday Mass will be at 11a.m. At St. Patrick’s Church.
The Guthrie United Church in Devlin will have Maundy Thursday services April 14 at 7 p.m.
Good Friday Services will be at Knox United Church in Emo at 10a.m.
Easter Sunday services will be at 9:45 a.m. at Guthrie Church in Devlin and Knox United Church at 11a.m.
Devlin Little League is back for 2022. It’s hoping there will be four divisions:
4-6, 7-9, 10-11 and ages 12 and up. The fees are $30 and includes a T-shirt and games twice a week. There will be 20 members per team. There is a registration form on the Devlin Little League FB page that you can download.
Coaches and helpers are needed in each group. If you have any questions please contact Roseanne Farmer at rfarmer@fortfrances.com or the Devlin Municipal office at 486-3452. Games will run from May until the end of June.
Anniversary wishes from friend, family and our district going out to Ian and Neila Booth on their 50th wedding anniversary and also to Bob and Trudy Badiuk on their 40th Both couples celebrate these special anniversaries on April 17.

Congratulations to Julianna Donaldson and Drake Crosson on the birth of Athena Ivah Rose Crosson. Athena was born March 31.

The Emo Walleye Tournament will take place this year May 26, 27 and 28. The entry fee is $500. New committee members and volunteers are needed to help this popular event run successfully. Contact Colleen at 276-4128 for further information.
The winner of the Emo Legion 50/50 draw was Ed Murray. He pocketed $1430.
The Emo Legion will host a dance this Saturday April 16. This will be a DJ style dance, with admission of $5.
Lucky winners of the Curling Club raffle were: Liz Parent winning $3,000, Hope Mosbeck winning $1500 and Lawrence Gushulak pocketing $1,000. The members of the Curling Club would like to thank all people that purchased tickets for this draw.
Spring Fever Days is just around the corner. This fun filled event takes place April 22 and 23 this year.
Congratulations to Team Bonot on his win over the weekend. The Bonot team made up of Trevor Bonot, Jackie Bonot Mccormick, Michael McCarville and Amanda Gates were the mixed provincial curling championships from the Fort William Curling Club. These games were played in North Bay.
