Emo Pioneer Women host successful pie day

The Emo Pioneer Women hosted their annual pie day on July 8. The event was held at the Emo Museum, which also gave those attending an opportunity to browse through the museum.

28 pies were baked and only three were left over at the end of the day. There were 16 varieties of pie to chose from. The pies were so delicious that some people came back twice to enjoy pie and a beverage.

Summer employees Paige Sequin and Tristen Taylor were helpful serving and clearing tables. Board members, volunteers and the summer employees made sure those attending had great pie, a nice visit and a thoroughly enjoyable day. The museum members were grateful for the money donations, both from pie sales and generous donations. All board members would like to thank everyone for coming and purchasing pies. The board would like to see more board members and volunteers. Also, board members encourage people to bring their friends, summer guests and anyone they know to come and tour the museum. It truly is a well organized and well stocked museum, with some for everyone to see.

Robin’s 2 cents:

A curious boy was doing his English homework when he looked up at his dad with a question.

“Dad,” he asked, “what’s the difference between ‘patient’ and ‘patience’?”

“Well, son,” his dad replied. “A patient is someone in a hospital.

Patience is what your mom lost after marrying me.”
