The Emo Museum is holding a pie and coffee fundraiser this Friday, July 8 from noon to 3 p.m. All proceeds are to help the Rainy River District Women’s Institute Museum. The Museum opened July 4 and is open for the summer. Admission is a free-will offering. Come out and support the Museum and check out the Museum and all the fine articles from the past.
The Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and is located on Tyrell Street.
July 8 and 9 is the Castin’ for Cash at Lake Despair Lodge. It is expected there will be over 50 teams, both local and from the surrounding areas. Weigh-ins are at 4 p.m. both days. Food will be available at the pavilion. Come out and enjoy the weigh-ins. Bill, Nell, and their volunteers always put lots of effort into this event.
Congratulations to Brody and Madison McPherson on the birth of their first child, Natalie Claire, who was born June 30. Proud first-time grandparents are Dayle and Vince Allan, Marc and Lisa McPherson, and Bobbi Smith. Great grandparents are Helen Allan, Lyle and Shirley Smith, Brenda McPherson, and Morris and Grace Pawloski.
Get-well wishes to Graham McTavish who is undergoing unexpected heart issues. Graham is in the Toronto Hospital and maybe needing further surgeries. Prayers and caring thoughts to Graham and his family during this trying time.
