Emo Legion in back in action

The Royal Canadian Branch #99 in Emo will resume some activities. The Legion club room is open Thursday to Saturday from 3-6 p.m.

Carpet bowling starts up every Thursday, followed by lunch.

Beer and Burger Night resumes March 12. This is always a fun evening with a great $5.00 meal.

Happy to hear the Legion is starting up some events. Hopefully this happens with other establishments.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION takes place from March 1-5 this week.

To be eligible to register, pupils must meet the following requirements:

Early Learning Year One students must be four years old before March 31 2021.

Early Learning Year Two students must turn five before December 31 2021. For more information call Crossroads school at 486-3329.

Congratulations to Toby and Colleen Vennechenko on their 45th wedding anniversary. May you enjoy many more happy years together.

Sympathy to the family of Bob Gosselin who passed away February 21.

Bob is survived by his wife Pat (McTavish) and their four children. Our community is thinking of the family and friends both here and in Atikokan that our grieving his loss.

Also sincere sympathy to Elaine Aveyard and her family in the passing of her sister in law Nancy Bone.

A sure sign that spring is around the corner is the “spring ahead” time change. Clocks are moving ahead an hour on March 14.
